Justice Minister Monitors Mount Lebanon Vote in Extensive Election Day Tour

Justice Minister Adel Nassar closely monitored the municipal elections in Mount Lebanon throughout the day on Sunday, joining President Joseph Aoun on inspection visits to the Ministries of Interior and Defense, as well as the headquarters of Lebanon’s national broadcaster, Tele Liban.

After casting his own ballot in his hometown of Bikfaya, Nassar set off on a broader tour of administrative centers to assess operations and receive live updates from election officials.

One of his key stops was the Chouf district office, where he met with Judge Elie Helou, head of the voter registration and vote-tallying committees. There, he was briefed on the day’s progress and logistical flow.

Nassar continued on to district offices in Aley, Baabda, and Jdeideh, before wrapping up his tour in Jounieh, where vote counting was set to begin shortly after polls closed.
