An Israeli force entered the southern Lebanese town of Halta in the Hasbaya area and surrounded several homes, according to field reports, as Israeli military activity intensified across several areas of southern Lebanon.

The incursion came after Israeli authorities contacted Hatem Abdel Aal, a member of Halta's municipal council, and the town's mukhtar, Issa Abdel Aal, according to the reports.

Residents were prevented from leaving their homes while Israeli forces carried out the operation, with details still emerging. Halta has previously been the scene of Israeli incursions and raids on residential properties.

The Israeli infantry force later withdrew from Halta-Shanouh after taking three residents from the town into Israeli territory, according to subsequent reports.

Elsewhere in southern Lebanon, a series of explosions was reported in the town of Qantara, occurring in several rounds, while Israeli artillery shelled Mansouri.

The artillery fire coincided with reports that Israeli military vehicles were transporting booby-trapped canisters toward Mansouri. An Israeli Merkava tank and a D9 armored bulldozer also entered the town, according to field reports.

Around 2 a.m., Israeli artillery fired five heavy-caliber shells toward the Litani River basin in the Khardali area. The strikes targeted an area west of Deir Mimas and east of Beaufort Castle.

An Israeli drone also dropped two sound bombs along the Aaziyah-Mansouri road, while Israeli forces carried out explosions in the towns of Hadatha and Wadi Barashit in the morning.

Israeli drone activity was also reported over the Tyre area in the early hours.

The developments came amid heightened military activity along southern Lebanon, with Israeli ground movements, artillery fire, explosions and drone operations reported across several locations.
