The Israeli army launched multiple airstrikes overnight, targeting Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. According to the military, the strikes hit a rocket launcher, a military site, and smuggling routes along the Syria-Lebanon border allegedly used to transport weapons to Hezbollah.
The Israeli army claimed it had issued warnings to the international mechanism established to oversee the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah. These warnings, it said, went unheeded.
“The Israeli army continues to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel and will operate to prevent any attempt by Hezbollah to rebuild its forces in accordance with the ceasefire understandings,” the Israeli military stated.
Lebanese media reported additional Israeli airstrikes in the Janta area of the Bekaa Valley, near the Syria-Lebanon border. The strikes also targeted the village of Houmine al-Faouqa in the southern Nabatiyeh District, north of the Litani River and approximately 17 kilometers from Israel’s border.
