The Israeli military announced on Thursday the completion of an operation targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon. The operation included the discovery and dismantling of a Hezbollah tunnel located in a civilian area, as well as a weapons storage facility near a United Nations post.
The operation was carried out by the 11th Brigade under the command of the 146th Division and focused on neutralizing both underground and surface threats. According to the military, several weapons depots situated near a central UN post were successfully dismantled.
Despite the proximity to the UN facility, the Israeli army stressed that its actions were conducted without causing any damage to the international site.
As part of the operation, troops also located and dismantled a loaded rocket launcher aimed at Israeli territory and neutralized other threats in the area. The military emphasized its commitment to safeguarding Israeli citizens and maintaining regional stability.
The army underscored that all activities were conducted in compliance with the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
“This operation aimed to eliminate threats while fully adhering to the terms of the agreement,” an army spokesperson said.
