Israeli Army Issues Evacuation Warning for Villages in Bekaa Valley

The Israeli military on Friday issued a broad evacuation warning for several villages in eastern Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, urging residents to leave the area ahead of planned airstrikes targeting sites linked to the Hezbollah.

In a statement posted online, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee said the warning applied in particular to residents of the villages of Nabi Chit, Al-Khoder, Sariin al-Fawqa, and Sariin al-Tahta.

“Hezbollah’s activities in the area are forcing the Israeli military to act with force to strike its military infrastructure. The Israeli army does not intend to harm you," the statement said.

Adraee urged civilians to leave the area immediately for their own safety.

“To ensure your safety, we call on you to evacuate the area immediately and move north,” he said.

The spokesman also warned residents against remaining near sites linked to Hezbollah.

“Anyone who is close to Hezbollah members, its facilities, or its weapons is putting their life and the lives of their family members at risk,” he said.

Adraee added that residents would be informed when it is safe to return to their homes.
