Israeli Airstrikes Sweep Southern Lebanon, Target Sidon District and Tyre Area

Israeli warplanes and drones carried out a series of intense overnight and early morning strikes across southern Lebanon and the Sidon district, killing and wounding several people and causing widespread damage to homes and infrastructure.

A drone strike hit a pickup truck on the Msayleh road in the Sidon district shortly after midnight, killing two people.

The wave of attacks continued across multiple areas as airstrikes targeted the Hawsh area near Tyre and the town of Qallouiyeh in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa. Additional strikes hit Qlaileh, Ain Baal, and Aaytit, while three separate raids struck the town of Arabsalim.

Other locations targeted included the Khardali area, the towns of Ansariyeh and Baysariyeh in the Sidon district, and Sohmor, where four people were killed. A building in Ansariyeh was also struck, with reports indicating six people were wounded.

Israeli artillery shelled the outskirts of Arnoun and Kfartebnit intermittently, while separate artillery fire hit the town of Mansouri in the Tyre district. An airstrike also targeted the town of Shema.

In central Housh near Tyre, airstrikes on several residential buildings caused heavy damage to homes, electricity networks, and shops. Ambulances and civil defense teams rushed to the scene to assist the injured and assess the destruction.

At dawn, Israeli warplanes struck the areas of Jabal al-Botm and Mansouri. A separate strike on a house in the lower neighborhood of Arabsalim killed two people, wounded another, and completely destroyed the building.

In the Hasbaya district, a drone exploded in the Wastani neighborhood of Shebaa, slightly injuring a woman and causing material damage. A third drone later crashed in the town’s main square. Security officials said an earlier explosion involving a pickup truck in Shebaa was caused by an Israeli drone that lost control and was detonated, setting the vehicle on fire.

A strike near Tebnine Governmental Hospital caused significant damage to the facility, killing four people and wounding seven others.

Elsewhere, an airstrike hit a house in the town of Chabriha, setting it on fire before civil defense teams moved in to extinguish the blaze. Israeli drones also targeted the town of Shaabiyeh.

Further strikes at dawn hit the town of Bafliyeh, causing casualties and damaging a large number of homes, with civil defense crews working to clear debris and search for missing persons.

A series of additional morning strikes targeted Deir Antar, while another raid struck the old municipal building in Adloun. Ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene, with reports indicating four people were killed.
