Israeli Channel 14 reported that troops from the Israeli army’s Givati Brigade captured three Hezbollah operatives in the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil overnight.
According to the report, one of the operatives was critically injured, while the other two sustained minor injuries. All three allegedly laid down their weapons and surrendered.
A photograph also circulated showing the commander of the Givati Brigade in Bint Jbeil near a memorial wall dedicated to Hezbollah “martyrs.”
In a separate account, the Israeli army said ten soldiers were wounded, including three seriously, during overnight clashes with Hezbollah gunmen in Bint Jbeil.
The wounded soldiers, all members of the Paratroopers Brigade, were evacuated to hospital and their families have been notified, the army said. According to the military, three soldiers are in serious condition, one is in moderate condition, and six sustained light injuries.
Bint Jbeil, regarded as a Hezbollah stronghold, has been the focus of Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon in recent days.
