Israel Steps Up Intelligence Efforts in Southern Lebanon to Counter Hezbollah's Reestablishment

Israeli Channel 12 has reported an uptick in intelligence operations in southern Lebanon as Israel seeks to detect and counter any potential repositioning efforts by Hezbollah in the region. This comes as the Israeli military remains on high alert over the possibility of the Iran-backed group reestablishing its presence along the volatile Lebanese-Israeli border.

The increase in intelligence operations reflects Israeli concerns regarding Hezbollah's presence in southern Lebanon, where the group has maintained a significant foothold. Israeli intelligence has ramped up its monitoring activities, aiming to stay ahead of any attempts to move or fortify positions.

In addition to intelligence gathering, the Israeli military is implementing plans to establish "permanent forward positions" near residential areas in northern Israel. These measures will remain in place until the Lebanese Army reaches full operational readiness.
