Israel and Hezbollah Exchange Strikes Amid Intensifying Conflict

The volatile situation between Hezbollah and Israeli forces has sharply intensified following a series of recent attacks that have resulted in significant casualties and widespread damage.

In the latest developments, an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle and a residential building in the southern village of Aita al-Jabal, killing a Hezbollah member along with his seven-year-old nephew, and injuring others.

Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks were also reported in the village of Mays al-Jabal.

Additionally, an Israeli drone dropped several bombs on the outskirts of Kfar Kila, while another aerial strike targeted a vehicle in Bayt Leef.

In response to these attacks, Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets towards Mount Meron early this morning. Israeli media reported that rockets were intercepted over the Upper Galilee region, with fires ignited by a rocket salvo fired from southern Lebanon.

The escalation prompted intense alarm sirens in the border area.

Hezbollah also announced that it had struck the Malikiya site with artillery shells and positioned its artillery near Khazzan Hill. Israeli Channel 12 reported a military spokesperson confirming the interception of five rockets fired from Lebanon at Mount Meron, with some rockets successfully intercepted without causing injuries.

Israeli artillery fire hit the outskirts of the villages of Kfar Shuba, Kfar Hammam, and Tyre Harfa. Al-Hadath reported that three Hezbollah members were killed in this bombardment.

Heavy machine gunfire from the Israeli military was directed at Aita al-Shaab, and two airstrikes were carried out on the outskirts of the al-Hammam area near al-Wazzani.

In the early hours of the morning, Israeli forces bombarded the area around Naqoura and Mount al-Labouna in the western sector. Most UNIFIL centers south of the Litani River issued alarm sirens in response to the ongoing conflict.

Throughout the night and into the morning, Israeli forces continued to fire illuminating bombs over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line, with persistent flights by Israeli warplanes and reconnaissance aircraft over southern Lebanon.
