Hezbollah Raises Military Readiness Amid Fears of Renewed War with Israel

Hezbollah has raised its military alert level and placed the majority of its fighters on standby as the group braces for the possibility of a wider confrontation with Israel, according to sources cited by Al-Hadath.

The sources added that the delay in Al-Qard Al-Hassan’s disbursement of dues is part of Hezbollah’s broader strategy to gear up for possible military developments.

Meanwhile, Al-Jadeed TV quoted sources close to Hezbollah as confirming the group’s rejection of the proposal put forth by U.S. envoy Thomas Barrack, saying it reflects Hezbollah’s categorical refusal to surrender its weapons under what it views as “American-Israeli terms.”

Instead, Hezbollah is calling for a national dialogue to define a strategy that would preserve Lebanon’s strength, in line with what it sees as a patriotic and sovereign approach to defense.

The sources also noted that Hezbollah is fully aware of the fragile and sensitive phase Lebanon is entering. While the group is preparing for all scenarios, it is not actively seeking a war, they said.
