Israel Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon

Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Monday, hitting several areas in the Jezzine district, according to local reports and a statement from the Israeli military.

Lebanese reports said eight strikes targeted the town of Al-Ayshiyah, including the Al-Mahmoudiyah and Jarmaq areas, while another strike hit Mount Rihan. The bombardment caused heavy explosions and fires in the targeted zones, though there were no immediate reports of casualties.

The Israeli army confirmed that its aircraft carried out airstrikes in southern Lebanon, saying they targeted Hezbollah infrastructure in the Nabatiyeh area.

“The Hezbollah terror organization continues its attempts to rebuild terrorist infrastructure throughout Lebanon,” the Israeli military said in a statement, adding that “the presence of terror infrastructure and the activity of the Hezbollah terror organization in the area constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
