Kataeb Lawmaker Elias Hankach criticized the policy that the authority is adopting in the economic file.
“The authority is bypassing the constitution and selecting laws that suit it and on which it has built its policies. Those who destroyed the country are unable to take any action,” Hankach said in an interview with Voice of Lebanon radio station.
He believed that the role of the Parliament is to highlight the incompetence and lack of knowledge practiced by the authority in all files.
"How can we elect a president if House Speaker Nabih Berri, fails to call for a session?" he asked.
Hankach stressed that regular political life is achieved by respecting the constitution, noting that the Parliament is an electoral body, and its sessions must remain open until the election of a president.
The Lawmkaer recalled Beirut blast, saying that 3 years has passed and victims still seek answers and justice.
"We cannot continue in the same way and we are willing to go to the end in any confrontation by abiding by the constitution, but we are not ready to continue as we are,” he concluded.
