Hankach Criticizes Accountability Four Years After Beirut Port Explosion

As Lebanon marks the fourth anniversary of the Beirut port explosion, Kataeb MP Elias Hankach expressed frustration over the ongoing lack of accountability, demanding justic for the victims who fell on that day.

"Four years since the Beirut port explosion, and there has been no accountability," Hankach wrote on his X account.

"Many years of importing and storing nitrates, and no accountability. Years of officials neglecting people's safety, and still, no accountability. Four years of judicial turmoil, legal manipulation, and investigation obstruction through threats, and yet no accountability. The port explosion killed 230 people and injured 5,000 others," he added.

"August 4th... A day we will not forget," Hankach vowed.
