Lebanon's Foreign Ministry on Monday condemned Israel's bombing of Syria's Shayrat airbase, resulting in numerous martyrs killed and wounded and property damage, expressing full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic.
The ministry stressed in a statement that these attacks were a blatant violation of international laws and norms.
It said that such an attack also violated Lebanese sovereignty and posed a direct threat to the security of civil navigation in Lebanese airspace and to international peace by having Israeli fighter jets encroach on its airspace to carry out the attack.
It concluded by reserving the right to file a complaint before the United Nations in New York as soon as all security data are available.
