Victoria's Secret Rethinking Television Broadcast of Annual Show

Victoria’s Secret is reconsidering the broadcast of its annual fashion, mulling the option of not airing it on network television anymore, according to a memo obtained by CNBC.

“Fashion is a business of change. We must evolve and change to grow,” L Brands CEO Les Wexner wrote in a memo sent to employees.

He pointed out that the ABC and CBS airing of the show, which had been broadcasted for almost 20 years, is no longer “right fit” for the event as the views were dropping.

The December 2018 show was the least watched in its broadcast history, as the brand has been facing more criticism from women for trying to sell bedazzled bras and skimpy underwear on slim supermodels.
