Jennifer Lopez Wears Zuhair Murad Couture Wedding Gown in New Film 'Marry Me'

Jennifer Lopez will model one of Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad’s most extravagant creations yet on the big screen in her latest film Marry Me.

Releasing in time for Valentine’s Day, the film stars Lopez, 52, alongside Colombian singer Maluma, as he makes his acting debut, and Owen Wilson.

In the film, Lopez plays pop superstar Kat Valdez who is about to marry her long-time fiance (Maluma) on stage in front of millions of fans. However, seconds before the ceremony, she learns her fiance has been unfaithful and in a moment of complete spontaneity, marries a man she locks eyes with in the crowd instead.

Lopez wears a Zuhair Murad bridal couture gown for the on-stage ceremony. The strapless dress features a full skirt and train, covered with intricate gold and pink beading and embellishment. She teams the look with a matching embellished veil and diamond flower necklace.

Away from the big screen, Lopez is a long-time fan of the Beirut-born atelier. She has worn looks created by Zuhair Murad on a number of occasions, including for major red carpets and awards show such as the Golden Globes, the Grammys and the Met Gala.

Murad has also dressed a number of stars for their real-life weddings since establishing his eponymous label in 1997, and adding a ready-to-wear bridalwear arm in 2011.

Most recently, model Jasmine Tookes wore a custom Zuhair Murad gown for her 2021 wedding to Snapchat executive and son of Ecuador's vice president, Juan David Borrero.

Models Chanel Iman and Devon Windsor, and Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, are also among celebrities to have tied the knot in a Zuhair Murad wedding dress.
