Consultative Council Holds Its First Session: Council’s Role Is Pivotal in Keeping up With Party’s Progress

The Consultative (Shura) Council of the Kataeb party on Monday held its first session after the elections in which comrade Antoine al-Hajj assumed the presidency thereof.

The attendees emphasized the significance of the council's work and the need to galvanize it to carry out the advisory and supervisory roles assigned to it.

Talks also focused on the need to entice former leaders to play their roles in the party, and on the significance of holding regular meetings to keep up with the party's progress during this fateful period.

The meeting was attended by President Amine Gemayel, Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel, Secretary-General Serge Dagher, as well as the Chairman of the Shura Council, and the members.
