Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Rai" revealed that those who have been in contact with Former Minister Jihad Azour have concluded that his project does not rely on alignment or confrontation but rather on openness and realism to confront the numerous challenges.
He has proven through his entire career and performance in the past months that he is open to everyone and does not set red lines for himself in terms of communication with others or in dialogue regarding any topic or issue.
The newspaper noted that these individuals have heard Azour confirm, on multiple occasions that he is an open-minded and moderate person. Lebanon, in the current circumstances, needs economic salvation and the restoration of confidence from the international community.
This requires a man who can convince both the domestic and Arab and international communities that he has a project, vision, and the capability to succeed based on his experience.
The newspaper further reported that Azour feels the "importance" he places on reestablishing relations with the Arab world, particularly the Gulf countries.
He believes in his ability to rebuild trust with the Arab depth of Lebanon based on his exceptional relationships with the countries of the region.
Al-Rai added that Azour emphasized that he is not a candidate against Hezbollah and the Amal Movement or against anyone else.
His sole goal is salvation, with the affirmation that he has never declared himself a candidate to undermine the constitutional norms but for cooperation. He hopes for a fair competition with both winning and losing in the end. He has no problem with not winning, just as he has no hesitation in winning.
Any victory should not be interpreted as breaking a fundamental political component in Lebanon.
