The Israeli military said it carried out a wave of airstrikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Tyre area along the southern Lebanese coast on Friday, as military tensions continued alongside ongoing U.S.-mediated negotiations in Washington.
Earlier, the Israeli army issued evacuation warnings for several villages on the outskirts of Tyre ahead of the strikes, which it said were aimed at Hezbollah targets.
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an “urgent warning” on the platform X to residents of several Lebanese towns and villages, including Chabriha, Hammadiyeh (Tyre), Zaqquq al-Mafdi, Maashouq and Hawsh. He said that, “in light of Hezbollah’s violation of the ceasefire agreement, we are forced to act against it with force. We do not intend to harm you,” urging residents to evacuate immediately and move at least 1,000 meters away from their homes.
One strike hit a building belonging to the Popular Rescue Service near the Hiram Hospital area at the Abbasiyeh junction in Tyre. Another struck the Maashouq area, while Israeli aircraft also hit Hammadiyeh at the Maarek junction near Tyre.
Dr. Salman Aadeibi, head of Hiram Hospital’s board, told Lebanon’s National News Agency that two nurses suffered minor injuries in the strike near the hospital. He said the emergency department received seven wounded people in stable condition, and that the hospital itself sustained damage, including shattered windows and structural impact from the blast wave.
Israeli warplanes also struck Maashouq again later in the day, including near residential areas on the outskirts of Tyre, while a drone later hit the same residential zone. Another strike hit the entrance of Abbasiyeh in the direction of Chabriha.
At the same time, the military reported that several explosive drones launched from Lebanon by Hezbollah crossed into Israeli territory near the border, triggering sirens in multiple communities in the Western Galilee. No injuries were reported. The army described the attack as a “blatant violation of the ceasefire understandings by the Hezbollah terror organization.”
In a separate incident earlier, the Israeli army said it intercepted a suspected Hezbollah drone over southern Lebanon in an area where Israeli troops are deployed. No casualties were reported. The military also said it intercepted a rocket fired from Lebanon toward the Lower Galilee, which triggered sirens in the communities of Masad and Eilabun. No injuries were reported, with the army again calling the launches a “blatant violation of the ceasefire understandings.”
Meanwhile, Israeli drones were reported flying over Beirut and its suburbs, as well as over the Tyre region and other areas placed under evacuation orders.
On the ground, a drone strike targeted a motorcycle in Majdal Zoun in the Tyre district.
Another drone struck a car near a Hussainiya in Nabatieh, killing two people and injuring another, according to reports.
Additional Israeli strikes hit Qsaybeh, Frun, an open area in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Shouhour and Majdal Selm.
Israeli artillery also shelled the towns of Kunin, Braasheet and Beit Yahoun in the Bint Jbeil district.
Earlier overnight, airstrikes hit the Marj al-Safa area in Shoukin and Nabatieh al-Fawqa, destroying a residential neighborhood that included the municipality building and several homes.
The strikes were accompanied by heavy artillery fire near an orphanage in Meifdoun and the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
Israeli forces also carried out an explosion in the town of Khiyam at dawn. Artillery fire hit the outskirts of Qalawiyah and Burj Qalawiyah, while heavy machine-gun fire was reported toward Wadi al-Hujeir and areas around Frun and Ghandouriya.
Earlier in the night, a drone struck a residential apartment in Housh Sour, sparking a fire and causing injuries. Airstrikes also hit areas including Qana, Qalila, the zone between Sultanieh and Tebnine, Shouhour and Debaal.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that a soldier from the Golani Brigade was killed during fighting in southern Lebanon. Israeli Army Radio said the death brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in southern Lebanon since the ceasefire to six.
Israeli media also reported explosions following sirens in the Galilee in northern Israel. The military said it intercepted a projectile launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel.
