Trump Threatens to Shut Border with Mexico

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday threatened to shut the border with Mexico next week if the country does not do anything to control the illegal influx of migrants.

"If Mexico doesn't immediately stop ALL illegal immigration coming into the United States through our Southern Border, I will be CLOSING the Border, or large sections of the Border, next week," Trump said.

"This would be so easy for Mexico to do, but they just take our money and 'talk'," he added.

Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard lashed out at Trump's comments, saying his country does not yield to threats.

"We are a great neighbor. Just ask the 1.5 million U.S. citizens who have chosen to call our country home, the largest such community outside the United States," Ebrard wrote on Twitter.
