In the memory of the founder of the Kataeb party Pierre Gemayel, lawmaker Selim Sayegh recalled the last oath carried out in Gemayel’s presence before he passed away on August 29, 1984. 

“This photo of Gemayel, who was responsible for Beirut in the Kataeb party, with my father, is always on my mind. It was captured in Ashrafieh,” Sayegh tweeted captioning the said photo. 

“Here is the school of morality and patriotism; here is where fortitude and commitment are solid as a rock #Pierre_Gemayel,” he added.
