Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will likely delay significant military actions in Lebanon and Gaza until the inauguration of the new U.S. president on January 20, 2025, The Financial Times reported. 

According to a source familiar with Israeli strategy, there is a mutual understanding between Netanyahu and Trump regarding the conduct of future military actions. 

Although Netanyahu has not explicitly committed to waiting for Trump’s inauguration, the current sentiment within Israel is that aligning with Trump’s administration could offer Israel greater support in its ongoing military campaigns.

As U.S. President Joe Biden’s term draws closer to its end, Israeli officials, including Netanyahu, have subtly indicated a preference for the return of Donald Trump to the White House, particularly due to their belief that the latter's policies would better align with Israel’s war objectives.
