Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi received a delegation from the Kataeb Party headed by Lawmaker Selim Sayegh.

The Patriarch affirmed that the Maronite Patriarchate and the Kataeb Party speak the same language, saying that both do not want personal interests to prevail over national principles.

He noted that Lebanon was in danger and the Lebanese were suffering, adding that the adopted process in the presidential elections is wrong.

For his part, Lawmaker Selim Sayegh affirmed full support for the Patriarch's national stances which express the common and collective conscience of the Lebanese for which the Kataeb Party has always fought for.
