Pope Francis Sends Message of Peace and Solidarity to Lebanon

Apostolic Nuncio and Monsignor Paolo Borgia conveyed a message from Pope Francis to Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun, in which the Pontiff prayed that Lebanon would remain a beacon of dialogue, reconciliation, and fraternal solidarity.

He also entrusted the Lebanese people to the intercession of Our Lady, the Virgin Mary.

He expressed his spiritual closeness to the dear Lebanese people, praying that God would preserve Lebanon as a treasure of civilization and spiritual life, so it may always remain a message of peace and harmony in diversity.

Meanwhile, President Joseph Aoun discussed Lebanon’s security situation, developments in the south, and the army’s deployment in border villages with the Director General of General Security, the Director of Army Intelligence, the Acting Army Commander, and the Secretary-General of the Higher Defense Council.
