Berri Engages in Key Diplomatic Meetings on Ceasefire Violations, Regional Developments, and Bilateral Relations
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri hosted General Jasper Jeffers, the American head of the monitoring committee overseeing the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, at the second presidency in Ain el-Tineh.
The meeting was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson and Berri's media advisor, Ali Hamdan.
Discussions revolved around field developments, particularly concerning ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement's provisions.
In a separate meeting, Berri welcomed France's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, along with his delegation.
Their talks focused on Lebanon's general situation, regional developments, political updates, and efforts to enhance bilateral relations between Lebanon and France.
Berri also conferred with Apostolic Nuncio to Lebanon, Archbishop Paolo Borgia.
The discussion covered political and social issues, and Archbishop Borgia delivered a message from Pope Francis marking the 58th World Day of Peace, along with a book of the Pope's memoirs.
