The fires in the wheat silos are still ablaze one day after word spread that a new northern section of the Silos will collapse at night. This news spurred individuals to head to the Beirut port's pier to witness the anticipated occurrence.

"The prospect of collapsing parts of the Silos is likely," according to a source from the Beirut fire brigade.

"We have evacuated our center and are monitoring the situation with preparedness, but it is impossible to tell for sure a precise time for their fall," it added.
