In a new act of censorship on children's movies in Lebanon, “Minions: The Rise of Gru”, the newest film in the “Despicable Me” franchise, has been reportedly banned from screening in Lebanon.
The reason behind the ban of "The Rise of Gru" is not yet officially known. Some speculate that a kiss between two minions is the reason for such a decision, while others believe that it is the depiction of an evil nun.
The Lebanese State remains immersed in trivial matters despite the economic crisis and financial meltdown.
