Netanyahu Says Israel Will Continue to Strike Hezbollah “Wherever Necessary”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Israel “will continue to strike Hezbollah wherever necessary,” a day after the Israeli army launched its largest wave of airstrikes since the start of Operation Lion’s Uproar and shortly after the military announced the killing of Hezbollah leader’s personal secretary.

“Our message is clear: whoever acts against Israeli civilians will be targeted. We will continue to strike Hezbollah wherever necessary, until we restore full security to the residents of the north,” Netanyahu wrote in a Hebrew-language post on X.

Earlier, the Israeli military said Ali Yusuf Harshi, Qassem’s personal secretary and nephew, was killed in an airstrike on Beirut’s Tallet Khayat neighborhood.

“Harshi was a close associate and personal advisor to Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem and played a central role in managing his office and security,” the army said in a statement.

Netanyahu also detailed additional Israeli operations in southern Lebanon, saying the military had targeted a “series of terror infrastructures,” including crossing points used to transfer thousands of rockets and weapons, depots, launch sites, and Hezbollah command centers. Footage released by the army illustrated the scale and precision of the attacks.

“We continue to strike Hezbollah with force, precision, and determination,” Netanyahu said, reiterating that Israel will act against any threat to its civilians.
