Netanyahu Says He and Trump See Eye-to-Eye on Iranian Threat

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that he has held three phone calls with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump since his election less than a week ago, stressing their shared perspective on the Iranian threat.

In a video statement, Netanyahu revealed that the purpose of the conversations was to strengthen the already robust alliance between Israel and the United States.

"We see eye-to-eye on the Iranian threat in all its components, and the danger posed by it," Netanyahu said, referring to the ongoing security concerns surrounding Iran’s regional activities and nuclear ambitions.

"We also see the great opportunities before Israel, in the expansion of peace, and in other realms," Netanyahu added, highlighting potential prospects for broader regional cooperation.

Describing the talks as "good and very important," Netanyahu emphasized the significance of continued collaboration with the incoming administration.
