Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged on Tuesday that Israel would intensify its military operations against Hezbollah and Iran, warning that further forceful action is imminent.
Speaking during a visit to Palmachim Airbase alongside Defense Minister Israel Katz and Israeli army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Netanyahu condemned recent Hezbollah missile attacks on northern Israel, describing them as a “very big mistake.”
“We have already responded forcefully, and we will respond with even greater and additional force,” Netanyahu said, underlining Israel’s readiness to escalate its military response.
The premier accused Hezbollah of dragging Lebanon into conflict “solely because of the death of that mass murderer with whom they have no connection,” referring to Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. He emphasized that Iran remains Hezbollah’s primary backer.
“They need to look out for themselves, and they would do well to do so quickly. We will continue to do what is necessary for our defense,” Netanyahu added.
The Israeli leader also reiterated that Israel would continue targeting Iran directly.
“Our pilots are over the skies of Iran and Tehran, and also over the skies of Lebanon,” he said, signaling an expansion of Israel’s operational reach.
