Kataeb Lawmaker Nadim Gemayel pointed out that the Kataeb bloc listened to the vision of Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam, in a bid to understand his direction.
In an interview with "This is Lebanon," he stated: "Once the overarching framework for the government is established, we will determine the role we will assume within that framework."
He stressed that there is no room for anything but national participation, and no one seeks to exclude any party.
He added: "For a period of time, there was a team that tried to exclude Christians or a segment of the Lebanese people. Therefore, we did not engage in the same actions as the duo did; instead, we approached the matter with an open heart. Today, Hezbollah and Amal Movement must open up to all parties and act differently in this new phase so that we can build the nation together."
"We do not want to exclude anyone in this new process of rebuilding the country. However, we also need genuine partnership, equality, and authentic communication. We must act differently from the past, which was characterized by deals. We want to translate this new phase within the Parliament or through constitutional frameworks. These frameworks will serve as the criteria for resolving differences, not through dialogue tables and theatrical performances inside the Parliament," Gemayel concluded.
