Nadim Gemayel Demands Lebanon Take a Stand Against Hezbollah’s Foreign Allegiance

Kataeb MP Nadim Gemayel called on Lebanon’s leadership to take a firm and public stance against remarks made by Hezbollah’s leader, Naim Qassem, saying there was no longer any place in the country for those who take their orders from abroad.

In a post on X, Gemayel urged the president, the government and all officials entrusted with safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty to respond clearly and unequivocally to Qassem’s comments.

“It is the responsibility of the president, the government, and everyone entrusted with the Lebanese state, its sovereignty, and its independent decision-making to take a clear and public stance on what Naim Qassem said,” Gemayel wrote.

“There is no longer any place in Lebanon for those who take their orders from outside the country. Anyone with another homeland to defend should go there,” he added.

Gemayel emphasized that public silence in the face of such statements risks undermining Lebanon’s sovereignty and the independence of its national decision-making.
