MTV issued the following statement after evening clash between FPM supporters and MTV "Sar El Waet" talk show audience:

"It has become clear that those who call themselves "The Old Guard" have been preparing for the conflict that occurred yesterday at "Sar el Waet" studio, in MTV, which has almost caused causalities.

Clearly those wanted to create chaos, and some of them threatened the station to do so, before the start of the episode, via social media.

MTV trusts the security forces and the judicial bodies with dealing with those people, but confirms that it will refuse, until further notice, to receive this type of audience in "Sar el Waet", as a result of how they acted yesterday, regardless of the freedom of expression that MTV have always granted them, which was clear during the episode.

The guests, however, that belong to the FPM, will always be welcome to express their positions and their party's ones, no matter how much the station gets exposed to abusive campaigns."
