Military Court Launches Probe into Pager and Wireless Device Blasts Across Lebanon

Government Commissioner to the Military Court, Judge Fadi Akiki, has ordered an investigation into the recent explosions of communication devices across Lebanon.

In a mandate issued to both the Directorate of Army Intelligence and the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces, Akiki instructed both agencies to gather all available security and technical data related to the explosions, which involved a significant number of pager devices.

The investigation has also been expanded to include wireless communication devices, following a second wave of explosions that took place on Wednesday.

Judge Akiki emphasized the need for all relevant information to be submitted to him through an official report, ensuring he remains updated on any developments. This will enable the necessary legal measures to be taken against those responsible for what he described as "criminal acts."

In addition to the investigation, Akiki tasked Internal Security Forces across Lebanon with determining the number of casualties resulting from the explosions. This step is crucial to assess the full impact of the attacks and bring those accountable to justice.
