Mansouri Discusses Economic Cooperation, Reforms with UK Officials

Lebanon's Interim Central Bank Chief, Wassim Mansouri, held discussions at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) with FCDO's Deputy Chief Economist, Tom Strachan, in a meeting that also saw participation from Olivia Campbell, a Political Advisor at the British Embassy.

Mansouri further engaged with Jeremy Smith and Sam Crosland, who are Export Finance Managers in the UK.

The conversations centered on Lebanon's economic landscape and explored opportunities to bolster economic ties between Lebanon and the UK.

The initiatives undertaken by Lebanon's Central Bank, particularly the halt in financing the state and the move towards a unified exchange rate, were lauded by the participants.

They highlighted the critical need for Lebanon to undertake substantial reforms across its governmental and various other sectors.
