Kataeb Party Announces Candidacy of Majd Harb in Batroun

Kataeb party on Monday announced the candidacy of Majd Harb in the region of Batroun for the 2022 elections, deeming the upcoming elections as a critical battle.

“We are facing a particular battle in the next polls, and we understand its danger and importance at all levels. We need to take great steps and unite as the opposition; many people are asking us to put aside differences, unify efforts, and that preferential votes be cast for one person in Batroun, given the critical battle in the third district,” Gemayel said after Political Bureau’s meeting.

“We got acquainted with Majd Harb and followed him, and it turned out that he resembles us in his honesty and his way of thinking; in order to win the battle, we must make some sacrifices, and we saw that he would abide by the Kataeb Party's principles and work with us within the framework of a single parliamentary bloc for the sake of Lebanon's sovereignty,” he stressed.

“I call on all the Kataeb supporters in Batroun to support the candidate Majd Harb; this is our battle for all, and I call on focusing our efforts to achieve a historic victory in this district,” he added.

For his part, Kataeb candidate in Batroun Majd Harb said: “The battle in the face of corruption begins in Batroun, and we must fight together in the battle to liberate Lebanon; on May 15, we must answer the question, "Which Lebanon do we want?"”

“We agree that we want a republic of neutrality, not a republic of 100,000 fighters, and we agree on a republic whose economy is like the economy of the sixties,” he stressed.
