Kataeb party on Wednesday stressed that all Kuwaiti points related to the implementation of international resolutions are all State’s duties.

“We urge the international community to pressure towards the implementation of international resolutions. These resolutions, that the ruling elite refuses to implement, have contributed to the liberation of the Lebanese people from the Syrian occupation,” read a statement issued by the Kataeb Political Bureau following its weekly meeting at the party’s headquarters in Saifi.

“The speech delivered by the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Naim Qassem on Sunday regarding the parliamentary elections is only a way to manipulate the Lebanese people and prevent them from casting their votes so as to hold accountable all those responsible of the situation we have come to,” it added.

Hezbollah's No. 2, Naim Qassem on Sunday claimed that elections won’t greatly change the parliamenaty landscape.

The political bureau warned against tampering with the electoral process and the failure to form an electoral supervisory body.

“The upcoming parliamentary elections must be held under an international supervision so as to ensure their transparency,” it stressed.

“Addressing the 2022 budget, dividing the losses, unifying the exchange rate will all be insoluble without any clear and transparent economic plan,” it concluded.
