Abbas Ahmad Mazloum, a 38-year-old victim of last year's Beirut port explosion, had suffered from a shrapnel wound in his back, which led to a complete paralysis that kept him bedridden.

Mazloum passed away this morning after suffering from a chronic injury for a year and three months.

Mazloum will be buried today at 3:00 pm in the municipal cemetery of Haour Taala, located in his hometown, Ain el-Jaouze.
