Resigned kataeb lawmaker Nadim Gemayel hailed the strong state that existed when Martyr President Bachir Gemayel was in power.

“August 23, 1982 was the day when the only strong president was elected and the day when Lebanon was born, Bachir was the dream of a republic that has not been achieved,” tweeted Gemayel on the anniversary of the election of Martyr President Bachir Gemayel on the 23rd of August 1982.
