Pompeo Addressing Lebanese Officials: Your Business as Usual Is Unacceptable

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Saturday accused the Lebanese officials of failure in handling Lebanon’s main issues, deeming their business as unacceptable.

“One year ago today, the Lebanese people began taking to the streets demanding reforms, better governance, and an end to the endemic corruption that has stifled Lebanon's tremendous potential,” Pompeo wrote on Twitter on the first anniversary of the October 17 revolution.

“Their message remains clear and undeniable—business as usual is unacceptable,” he said.
