“He leaves behind a legacy of nationalism, vocation, and a viable methodology with which the Kataeb party can progress,” Gemayel told Voice of Lebanon radio station.

He praised Abu Khalil for being one of Lebanon’s decision-makers along with the party founder Pierre Gemayel.

“He was an exceptional man who transcended political tedium. The Kataeb party owes him a lot as he was the compass that kept the party moving in the right direction,” he indicated.

“Joseph Abu Khalil has left behind him a generation of fighters holding onto the cause as much as he was,” he asserted.
