The Energy Ministry on Friday said that the Lebanese should expect more electricity rationing during the summer, adding that power outages will spike due to large cuts in the ministry's budget.

However, the ministry said that the electricity supply will slightly improve compared with the previous weeks, noting that funds have now been secured to purchase fuel after the Parliament approved the extension of extra-budgetary spending.

As plants are being provided with fuel, the power supply will gradually improve starting the end of next week, the ministry said.
