Lebanon’s government is facing mounting challenges. It is trying to balance the demands of the US to disarm Hezbollah, a militia and political party controlling much of the country, against those of Iran, Hezbollah’s main sponsor, to do no such thing. Abu Nader Shores up Hadath's Mayor on Muslim Property Ban
Kataeb leader’s top advisor Fouad Abu Nader on Friday voiced support for Hadath Mayor George Aoun’s decision to ban Muslims from renting or purchasing real estates in the city.
“George Aoun is not an abnormal situation; what is abnormal is the takeover of lands and properties belonging to Christians,” Abu Nader wrote on his Twitter account.
“Let’s all stand by his [George Aoun] side and reclaim legally what has been taken from us,” he added, stressing that Aoun is trying to preserve what is left of the Christians' presence in Hadath.
