Kataeb MP Elias Hankache criticized the government’s irresponsible approach in dealing with the Lebanese University, voicing regret over the reduction of the budget of the state-run academic institution.
“A month has passed since the Lebanese University professors began their strike, while the government is still dealing irresponsibly with this matter which affects more than 80,000 students," Hankache wrote on Twitter.
"Instead of boosting its investment in the knowledge sector in the light of the international digital revolution, the government has unfortunately, and in twisted ways, decided to reduce the budget of the Lebanese University,” he deplored.
