Former President Amine Gemayel stressed the need for all the Lebanese to join forces in order to preserve the real message of Lebanon as a country of coexistence, urging solidarity and unity between the local political forces.

"There is no need to fear for a nation that has a believer people that is deeply attached to its roots like you," Gemayel said during a dinner hosted in his honor upon his arrival in Sydney.

The dinner was attended by Kataeb partisans, expats, social figures and dignitaries, as well as representatives from the Lebanese Forces, Free Patriotic Movement, Marada Movement, National Liberal Party, Future Movement, Progressive Socialist Party, Independence Movement, and the Democratic Left Movement.
