Lebanon's Central Bank Appoints Nassib Ghobril as Chief Economist

Lebanon's Central Bank has appointed Dr. Nassib Ghobril as its Chief Economist, a move that enhances the bank's ability to formulate its policies based on in-depth economic research and comprehensive data analysis. 

The Central Bank stated in a press release that the establishment of this position represents a qualitative addition to the bank's specialized structure, reinforcing the role of economic expertise in decision-making.

It said: "Dr. Ghobril brings to this role over twenty-five years of experience in monitoring the Lebanese economy and analyzing its developments, along with extensive experience in economic and financial research and building and managing research teams, joining a select group of experts at the bank in various specialties. Dr. Ghobril will manage and develop the Economic Research and Analysis Department, enhancing its role in preparing studies and analyses, and issuing annual and quarterly reports."
