Lebanon Ranks First in Terms of Inflation, with a Rate of 190%

PricewaterhouseCoopers considers that inflation rates in some Arab countries will be declining in the future. According to the latest figures, the GCC countries recorded inflation rates of 3.5% last February, with expectations of 2.9% at the end of this year, with the rate declining to 2.35% in 2024.

 As for the none-GCC Arab countries, they will face higher rates of inflation, as they recorded 24.3% last February, and may reach 13.3% for the whole of the current year, while inflation is expected to decline to 9.8% in 2024. According to data issued by PWC, it was found that Lebanon ranked first and highest in terms of inflation, which reached 190% last February.

1- Lebanon: 190%

 2- Egypt: 31.9%

3- Iraq: 6.4%

4-UAE: 4.7%

 5- Qatar: 4.4%

6- Jordan: 4.3%

7- Libya: 4.1%

8- Palestine: 4%

 9- Kuwait: 3.2%

10- Saudi Arabia: 3%

11 - Sultanate of Oman: 1.9%

 12- Bahrain: 1.1%
