Lebanon Moves Forward with Municipal Elections, Dismissing Postponement Claims

Lebanon’s Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar is set to summon electoral bodies in the coming days, with the deadline set for before April 4, paving the way for municipal and mayoral elections scheduled for May.

Amid speculation over a possible delay, sources from the presidency told Nidaa Al-Watan that the elections will take place as scheduled. They emphasized the government's full commitment to holding the vote on time, dismissing any talk of postponement as an attempt to obstruct the process.
