The Lebanese army announced that its intelligence services conducted a series of raids in the Bekaa town of Brital and its vicinity, and managed to arrest those involved in the kidnapping of citizen Michel Makhoul.

During the raids, the military units came under fire and one soldier was slightly injured. One wanted was also wounded, and another was killed.

Four individuals were later apprehended, and two vehicles and ammunition were seized.
