Kataeb Party Says Those Obstructing Presidential Entitlement Are to Assume Responsibility for Undermining the State

The Kataeb Party’s Political Bureau held its weekly meeting chaired by Kataeb Leader MP Samy Gemayel. After the meeting, the following statement was issued:

1-The Kataeb Political Bureau highlighted the ongoing presidential vacuum’s repercussions, holding those obstructing the electoral process responsible for undermining the state.

It dismissed calls for dialogue as deceptive campaigns by Hezbollah to divert attention from its attempts to control the presidential mandate.

2-The Kataeb Political Bureau rejected the European Parliament's decision to keep Syrian refugees in Lebanon, expressing gratitude to their European partners who opposed the decision.

It emphasized the need for the European Union to share the burden of Syrian refugees and distribute them to countries capable of providing decent living conditions.

The Kataeb Party criticized the ruling system, which is bypassing the constitution, normalizing the presidential vacuum, violating established principles, and further damaging the country's institutions.
